Bariatric Ambulance Transportation

Eastern is proud to have developed and fielded the first dedicated bariatric Transport Team in New England: Since 2005 we have been providing emergency and routine transportation of patients weighing up to 1,600 lbs.

Eastern's Bariatric team is trained in the special needs encountered treating and transporting larger patients. Additionally, each team member receives sensitivity, advanced safety and ergonomics training.

We developed the Bariatric Transport Team because we identified a large underserved population that could not access even the most basic medical care that most people can take for granted.
